Director of Preconstruction /n /n Job Summary We are looking for a
detail-driven an technically proficient Preconstruction Engineer to
support the planning and coordination of HVAC and Plumbing systems
on multifamily residential projects. This role emphasizes drawing
review, submittal preparation, technical documentation, and
coordination-playing a critical role in ensuring smooth project
execution from preconstruction through project turnover. /n /n Key
Responsibilities: /n /n Drawing Review & Coordination: /n /n -
Review mechanical and plumbing drawings to ensure accuracy, code
compliance, and alignment with project requirements. /n - Identify
design discrepancies or constructability issues and proactively
coordinate resolutions with designers, consultants, and internal
teams. /n - Support BIM coordination efforts and clash detection
during the design and preconstruction phase. /n - complete project
take-offs and true-ups from estimating. /n /n Submittal &
Documentation Preparation: /n /n - Prepare and compile detailed
HVAC and plumbing submittals, including equipment data, shop
drawings, and product cut sheets. /n - Coordinate submittal
timelines with project management and design teams to meet
construction schedules. /n - Maintain organized logs and records of
submittal approvals, revisions, and resubmissions. /n /n Technical
Support: /n /n - Assist in generating mechanical and plumbing
system layouts, schematic diagrams, and riser drawings when
required. /n - Support the designassist process by working with
project stakeholders to provide practical, field-informed input on
system design and material selections. /n - Ensure all
documentation complies with specifications, local building codes,
and project standards. /n /n Project Coordination: /n /n - Attend
coordination and design meetings to track MEP progress and provide
technical input as needed. /n - Support preconstruction and project
management teams with equipment selections, preliminary layouts,
and integration of long-lead items into design. /n - Interface with
vendors and manufacturers to obtain accurate technical information
and support procurement efforts. /n /n Qualifications: /n /n -
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction
Management, or equivalent. /n - 1-3 years of experience in HVAC and
Plumbing design, drafting, or preconstruction (preferably
multifamily). /n - Understanding of mechanical and plumbing systems
and submittal processes. /n - Proficient in reading and
interpreting MEP drawings, schematics, specifications, and building
codes. /n - Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and/or Navisworks
is highly preferred. /n - Familiarity with submittal software
platforms (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Plangrid) is a plus. /n -
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and
