INDUSTRIAL ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE/MECHATRONICS

FULL-TIME EVENING INSTRUCTOR
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Murfreesboro is accepting applications for an Associate Instructor in the Industrial Electrical Maintenance/Mechatronics Program.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Industrial Electrical Maintenance/Mechatronics field, preferably within the last five (5) years of starting employment with TCAT Murfreesboro.
Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities:
The Industrial Electrical Maintenance/Mechatronics Associate Instructor is responsible for providing individualized theory and hands-on instruction to adult and high school students to prepare them for employment in the field. -Must possess industrial expertise in electrical/electronics, fluid power (pneumatic/hydraulic), PLC's, motor and process controls, robotics, and integrated troubleshooting systems knowledge and experience. -The Associate Instructor must monitor, grade, and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college's student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports and assist in recruitment of new students and placement of graduates. -The Associate Instructor must also maintain good public relations with business and industry, maintain an active advisory committee and cooperate with outside agencies. -This position will also supervise and follow-up on students participating in cooperative education.

Skills:
Must possess computer skills.
Strong hands-on technical background in the field.
Must possess a high degree of knowledge in the following areas: safety, tools, and materials, diagnosing, and repairing the various systems in an industrial setting.
Must possess the communication skills necessary to be an effective teacher and interact with high school and adult students.
Must show evidence of good character, organization skills, and mature attitude.
Must be willing to remain current in the instructional field and maintain personal certifications and program accreditation(s).

Salary Range:
$45,000 - $48,600 per year commensurate with qualifications, education, experience and in accordance with the guidelines established by the Tennessee Board of Regents.
