Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. This opportunity is for experienced Special Education
Teachers who hold a valid Alabama SPED license to support
elementary school students in a behavior classroom setting. The
position is based in Athens, AL, serving K-12 students with a focus
on elementary-aged children. This contract role offers a consistent
schedule of 37.5 hours per week, five days per week, throughout the
current school year (CSY). Key Qualifications: - Valid Alabama
Special Education (SPED) teaching license - Experience working in
K-12 educational settings, preferably in behavior classrooms -
Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and
behavior intervention strategies - Ability to create supportive and
structured learning environments for students with special needs -
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students,
parents, and staff Responsibilities: - Deliver specialized
instruction tailored to meet the individual needs of students with
disabilities - Implement behavior management plans and conduct
assessments to monitor progress - Collaborate with classroom
teachers, counselors, and administrators to support student
development - Maintain accurate records of student progress,
behavior, and classroom activities - Participate in team meetings
and contribute to developing strategies that promote student
