Job Description Job Description Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. An opportunity is available for a Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) education to support K-12 students in the Franklin area of Tennessee. This full-time, on-site position requires a Tennessee teaching license with a DHH endorsement. The role is on a contract basis for the current school year, from January through May, serving students across one or more schools within the district. Key Qualifications and Experience: Valid Tennessee teaching license with Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement Experience ranging from entry-level (0-2 years) to seasoned educators (10 years) Strong knowledge and skills in supporting K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing Ability to manage caseloads tailored to student needs (specific age groups and caseloads to be determined) Commitment to full-time, on-site responsibilities within the assigned district Primary Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing across the K-12 spectrum Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized education programs Utilize communication strategies and assistive technologies to enhance student learning Monitor student progress and adjust teaching approaches accordingly Engage with families and support services to foster inclusive education environments Benefits of this Opportunity: Gain experience working within a well-established school district in the Franklin area Opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students academic and social development Contract role providing focused teaching experience during the school year Interested candidates with the required certification and passion for Deaf and Hard of Hearing education are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this dedicated teaching position.
