Job Description Onin Staffing is hiring a Machinist in the Decatur, AL area! We’re looking for someone skilled in operating precision machine tools such as mills, grinders, and boring mills to fabricate, repair, and accurately shape metal parts according to engineering drawings. This role involves milling, turning, and grinding techniques, with a strong focus on quality inspection and control to ensure top-notch accuracy. ? Responsibilities Operate CNC machines (mills, grinders, boring mills) Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Perform inspections using calipers, micrometers, and gauges Conduct preventative maintenance and troubleshoot machinery Safely rig and move large steel parts using cranes Maintain accurate documentation and follow safety protocols ? Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred) Minimum of 2 years of experience with CNC and/or manual machining tools Strong understanding of metal properties and machining processes Attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a manufacturing environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM Schedule: Monday–Friday (with occasional overtime) Apply now through Onin Staffing and start your next opportunity today!
