history, they're making history. The Global Supply Chain (GSC)
Operations Director 2 is accountable for the end?to?end performance
of the Defense Systems (DS) Sector’s supply?chain function and
reports directly into the DS Sector’s Vice President, GSC. The role
drives data?based performance management, continuous improvement,
technology enablement, and compliance across purchasing,
material?requirements planning (MRP), and logistics. The Director
partners with cross?functional leaders to define tools, standards,
and communications that enable the sector to meet service, cost,
and inventory goals while maintaining rigorous audit and policy
adherence. This role drives a data?centric performance management
framework that covers revenue?forecast accuracy, on?time PR release
to MRP, supplier delivery, negotiation outcomes, inventory
accuracy, and PR?to?PO cycle time. By leading root?cause analysis,
continuous?improvement initiatives, and the development of standard
work, the Director ensures the supply chain operates with lean
efficiency and high reliability. In partnership with other
functions, the Director defines and implements the tools,
platforms, and analytics required to support the sector’s strategic
goals. They also own Business Systems Compliance (Purchasing &
MMAS), shaping policy, overseeing audit readiness, and guaranteeing
adherence across the organization. Through structured operations
reviews and a comprehensive GSC communications and engagement
strategy, the Director keeps senior leadership and cross?functional
partners informed, aligned, and empowered to make rapid, informed
decisions that sustain service excellence and cost competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities Performance Management Own the metric
framework covering revenue?forecast accuracy, on?time PR release to
MRP need, supplier on?time delivery, negotiation performance,
inventory accuracy, PR?to?PO cycle time. Produce weekly/monthly
dashboards, variance analysis and trend reports for the VP and
executive team. Lead Root?Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
initiatives to close performance gaps. Process Excellence &
Continuous Improvement Identify, prioritize, and execute
Lean/Six?Sigma projects that improve throughput, reduce waste, and
shorten cycle times. Develop and maintain standard work for all
core supply?chain processes. Technology & Tool Definition Work with
the Sector’s Tech & Tools Council to capture functional
requirements, evaluate solutions, and champion implementation of
ERP, MRP, advanced analytics, and procurement platforms. Serve as
the subject?matter expert for Business Systems Compliance
(Purchasing & MMAS) and ensure alignment with corporate policies.
Training, Standards & Communications Design and roll out training
programs and communication plans that embed new processes, tools,
and compliance expectations across the supply?chain organization.
Maintain a centralized knowledge base (standard operating
procedures, FAQs, policy library). Compliance & Audit Support Lead
the Business Systems Compliance team in policy development,
monitoring, and remediation. Prepare and support internal/external
audits; ensure corrective actions are documented and tracked to
closure. Operations Review & Stakeholder Engagement Chair regular
GSC Operations Review meetings; present performance, risks, and
improvement roadmaps to senior leadership. Develop and execute a
sector?wide GSC communications and engagement strategy to keep
business partners informed and aligned. Team Leadership Build,
mentor, and retain a high?performing team of analysts, compliance
specialists, and process engineers. Foster a culture of data?driven
decision?making and continuous learning. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration, Engineering or related field 10 years of
progressive supply?chain experience, with at least 5 years in a
senior operations or continuous?improvement leadership role.
Demonstrated success managing global, multi?site, disparate
supply?chain networks. Deep knowledge of ERP/MRP (SAP and
Costpoint) and procurement systems (e.g., Ariba) and data
analytics. Proficiency with data?visualization tools (Power BI,
Tableau) and advanced Excel. Certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or
equivalent; proven track record of driving large?scale process
improvement programs. Experience leading compliance, policy
development, and audit preparation in a FAR/DFARS environment.
Strong people?management skills, executive messaging and
presentations skills, capable of influencing cross?functional teams
and senior executives. Up to 25% global travel (primarily to
regional sites). Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level

Active Secret security clearance Prior exposure to the defense

supply?chain solutions (AI?driven forecasting, IoT inventory
tracking). Primary Level Salary Range: $190,100.00 - $330,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however,
Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining
base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the
position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and
current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may
be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary
bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to
reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share
in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director
positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition,
