We are a 13 Bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care immediately postoperatively for patients that undergo general surgery, ortho-spine surgery, total joint and other orthopedic surgeries, urology procedures, vascular surgery, gynecologic surgery, podiatric surgery, endoscopy procedures, non-open-heart cardiac catheterization procedures, TEE and Cardioversion procedures, and interventional radiological procedures. As a Registered Nurse on this unit, some of the services you will provide are as follows:

• Monitoring and care of the post anesthesia patient
• Postoperative pain and nausea control
• Surgical site monitoring
• Compression therapy device removal post heart catheterization

• You will utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice, maintains a safe therapeutic environment, and identifies nursing problems as they relate to the individual needs of the patient.
• You must demonstrate age specific knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment and care of patients.
• Ensuring the privacy of our patients and confidentiality of their Protected Health Information (PHI) is core to your role.
• You will utilize the nursing process for individual care to meet needs of patients and document all patient care.
• Your role demonstrates the ability to perform technical skills, follow procedures, and show critical thinking.
• You will provide care and coordinate participation that fosters the goals of the hospital's mission and vision statement.   • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current TN RN licensure or Current Compact State licensure
  • Current BLS upon hire
  • ACLS, PALS, CPI and TNCC preferred
