If you are an ambitious self-starter who thrives in an environment where you are empowered to take ownership of your area of responsibility, we would like to speak to you.Location: Smyrna, TNHours: -M-F (PRN/ AS NEEDED, 4 hrs/wk) -The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This position is critical to Solis Mammography; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.RESULTS MEASURED BY THE FOLLOWING RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Consistently practices excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique;
• -Ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health;
• Ability to effectively communicate on an individual and small group basis to doctors, patients, and other employees;
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed and sometimes complicated, written or oral instructions;
• Must maintain patient-first focus at all times and exhibit outstanding customer service skills;
• Performs other work-related duties as assigned.SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
  • ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
  • Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
  • High School Diploma; Associates degree preferred;
  • Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location;
  • Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software is preferred;
  • Two years of experience in mammography is preferred;
  • Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred;
  • Prior quality control experience preferred;
  • Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology;
