POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for providing high quality, cost-effective, and
evidence based medical care to the hospitalized patients as well as
providing support to our surgical and specialty services through
consultative general medicine practice. The Hospitalist is
responsible for coordinating care for patients at discharge, and
facilitating hand-off to the outpatient physician.
Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation
of the administrative and clinical aspects of the hospitalist
program.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Formal Education / Training:
Workplace Experience:
Patient Care Delivery Systems in acute care settings to include
floors, Critical Care Units, Emergency Department.
Equipment and Skills Training:
Standard patient care equipment for services provided. The ability
to work well under pressure, to function dependently and
independently, and to be flexible in applying medical knowledge to
a variety of situations. General equipment to area and Network
computer system, Meditech Computer System.
