**Job Title: Obstetric, Neonatal, and Gynecologic Nurse**

**Responsibilities:**

* Provide quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care
* Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans
* Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs
* Handle and administer medications safely and accurately
* Document patient information accurately and timely
* Reassess patient condition and modify care plans as needed
* Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff accordingly
* Maintain a healing and therapeutic environment for patients and families

**Requirements:**

* Earned nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
* Licensed in the State of Tennessee
* BLS within 90 days of hire
* Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within six months of hire
* Ability to function in stressful situations
* Special Care Nursery/NICU experience desirable
* Ability to return to work within 1 hour when on call

**Work Environment:**

* Nursery/NICU unit with patient population ranging from less than one year of age to 30 days of age
* Standard patient care equipment for services provided
* Ability to work well under pressure and function independently and dependently

**Physical Effort:**

* Ability to communicate in English verbally and legibly
* Ability to stand/work for up to twelve hours a day
* Ability to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
