qualified PCU RN in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, 37129! Pay Information
$1,876 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse -
PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 Weeks

- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life
Support (ACLS) Certification - National Institutes of Health Stroke
Scale (NIHSS) Certification Must-Have: Successful completion of a
rhythm test Description: Unit Capacity: 36 Beds Population Served
includes stepdown and PCU patients. Patients may require continuous
BiPAP therapy and low-dose vasopressors. Common conditions include
trauma, lumbar drains, CIWA patients on higher doses of Ativan,
hyponatremia, and emergency dialysis. Patients may present with
hyperkalemia and antifreeze ingestions. The unit cares for patients
on home vents and includes procedures such as sheath removal and
cerebrovascular procedures (CEA). Additionally, patients may
experience rhabdomyolysis and be managed with Precedex. Stroke
patients require Q2 neuro checks and stable craniotomies may be
present. The unit administers fentanyl drips as needed. Patient age
ranges from young adult to late adult (18 to over 60). The
nurse-to-patient ratio is 4:1. The staffing plan is variable and
includes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, patient care
technicians, and nurse interns. An RN on the team assumes full
