Ascension is seeking a dedicated and skilled RN-First Assistant to join our faith-based healthcare team. This role is pivotal in assisting surgeons during major surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety, and enhancing operational efficiency in our state-of-the-art facilities. Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and arranged for surgery. Provide direct patient care by preparing and handling patients during surgery. Monitor and assess patients' condition before, during, and after surgery. Participate in preoperative assessment and planning for patients. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive surgical care. Educate patients and their families about postoperative care and health maintenance. Proven ability to handle and prepare surgical instruments and supplies efficiently. Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient safety protocols. Exceptional attention to detail and precision. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) certification preferred.
