Registered Nurse (RN) | Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit Location: Nashville, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,840 per week Shift Information: Days - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified CVICU RN in Nashville, Tennessee, 37203! Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: CVICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Strong critical care experience, including CVICU experience Skills with PA catheter and hemodynamic monitoring required Preferred experience with IABP, Impella, and CRRT Description: The unit has 16 beds and a patient ratio of 1:2, 1:1 for certain device patients. Staffing includes a free-floating charge nurse to assist the staff. There is a unit secretary and an Administrative Care Tech available Monday through Friday. Student Nurse Externs are on variable shifts to assist nurses by performing tech duties. Equipment includes Phillips bedside telemetry monitors, Hill-Rom beds, and Alaris IV pumps. Documentation is performed using a Meditech system. Scheduling requires 2 weekends per month, and 3 specified holidays. Staff may float as needed, typically to other ICUs or other floors. The unit provides care to immediate post-operative cardiac surgery patients, including those on ECMO, Centrimags, and HM3 LVADS. Nurses are expected to perform central line insertion, Swan insertion, intubations, and other critical procedures. Dress code consists of black, red, or galaxy blue scrubs along with scrub jackets or vests only. The unit has received recognition such as the Unit of Distinction Award and the Daisy Award. This is a high-volume unit specializing in post-operative cardiac surgery care and devices. An intensivist is assigned to the unit 24/7.
