Job Description:
Ascension is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CVOR CST
Certified Surgical Technologist to join our faith-based healthcare
organization. As a pivotal part of our operating room team, you
will work closely with surgical staff to ensure a sterile and safe
surgical environment, directly supporting the mission of
transforming healthcare through compassionate, personalized care.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional passionate
about impacting patient lives positively and interested in
contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence in a
collaborative work environment. Prepare operating rooms for surgery
including ensuring that all necessary surgical tools and equipment
are sterilized and assembled. Assist surgeons during operations by
passing instruments and other sterile supplies. Maintain a sterile
environment to prevent infection during surgical procedures.
Monitor and continually assess operating room conditions, including
patient and staff safety. Coordinate with other medical
professionals to provide high-quality patient care. Participate in
post-operative debriefing and sterilization processes. Maintain
accurate and detailed patient and procedural documentation. Engage
in ongoing training and professional development opportunities
provided by Ascension to stay abreast of industry advancements.
Proficiency in maintaining sterile environments and a clear
understanding of surgical procedure protocols. Excellent teamwork
and communication skills to effectively collaborate with the
surgical team. Strong attention to detail and precision. Ability to
respond appropriately under pressure and maintain calm during
critical situations. Capable of handling physically demanding tasks
and standing for extended periods. Medical Insurance Dental
Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification as a
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of
Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA). Valid Basic
Life Support (BLS) certification.
