Job Description:
Position Overview A VA-affiliated outpatient clinic in Bowling
Green, KY is seeking a Psychiatrist (MD/DO) to provide ongoing
locum coverage. This role focuses on comprehensive behavioral
health care for adult military veterans in a structured outpatient
setting. The site is actively recruiting for a permanent provider,
and you'll work with an established team including primary care
providers, RN's, and MA's. Assignment Details Setting: Outpatient
only Schedule: Monday Friday, 8 hours/day Call: None Patient
Volume: 12 patients/day Patient Type: Adult veterans Visit Type:
Scheduled visits with potential walk-ins Cases: Behavioral health
Support Staff: RN/MA; onsite primary care providers EMR: VISTA/CPRS
Hourly Rate $140-$150/ hour Provider Requirements Discipline: MD/DO
Specialty: Psychiatry Board Status: BC preferred; BE considered
with experience Experience: Minimum 1 3 years Licensure: Must hold
active state license Certifications: DEA, BLS, ACLS required

Position Summary The Psychiatrist will diagnose and treat
behavioral health conditions for veteran patients, collaborate with
the care team, and support mental health programs. Responsibilities
include diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, counseling
(individual, group, family/marriage), medication management, case
management, clinical documentation, and coordination with VA and
community services. The provider will help enhance patient
wellness, support health education, maintain compliance standards,
and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
