Unit capacity is 23 beds. The population served includes patients
with acute medical/surgical disease processes requiring observation
or inpatient acute care admission. Ages of patients served range
from young adult to late adult (18 - 60). Nurse to patient ratios
are 1:6. The core staffing plan is variable and includes registered
nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), patient care
technicians (PCTs), and nurse interns (NIs). An RN assumes full
responsibility for the patients on each team. Requirements Required
