Job Description:

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, located in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU). As a PCU nurse at our full-service hospital, you will provide expert care to patients with serious medical conditions who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but who are not in critical condition. Our hospital offers a supportive environment where professional growth is encouraged, and advanced medical resources are readily available. As part of our team, you will work closely with a comprehensive range of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care in a unit equipped with the latest in medical technology tailored for cardiac, orthopedic, and complex medical care. Monitor and assess the condition of patients with complex medical issues and unstable chronic conditions. Administer medications, document patient care services, and collaborate with physicians to optimize patient treatment plans. Provide compassionate care and educate patients and their families on treatment plans and ongoing needs at discharge. Ensure the continuity of care between shifts, maintaining clear and precise communications and handovers. Adhere to hospital safety protocols and healthcare practices while participating in departmental and hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives. Strong clinical skills and ability to assess and respond to patient needs in a PCU setting Proficient in using electronic health record systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid RN License ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Certification PCCN (Progressive Care Certified Nurses) Certification preferred
