Job Description:

TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, a leading full-service hospital located in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Medical-Surgical unit. This role is vital in managing the patient care of diverse cases ranging from simple to complex conditions, helping us continue our mission of providing comprehensive healthcare services including emergency care, cardiology, and orthopedics. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care while also advancing your professional skills in a state-of-the-art facility. Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Monitor patient health and progress while recording any relevant information to aid in treatment decision-making. Administer medications, monitor dosages and note orders, times, and reactions. Direct and supervise care delivered by other healthcare personnel like LPNs and nurse aides. Communicate with physicians, LPNs, radiologists and other medical professionals to collaborate on treatments. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, and assist in surgery as needed. Educate patients and their families on disease processes, medical-surgical procedures, and other aspects of therapeutic regimens. Strong ability to operate medical equipment Proficient in maintaining accurate patient records Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Capability to perform under stress in emergency situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee or a multi-state licensure privilege Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
