Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider
in Nashville, Tennessee, is actively seeking a dedicated and
skilled PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Nurse to join our dynamic
team. With a commitment to delivering exceptional care, our
facility offers a range of specialized services such as emergency
care, cardiology, oncology, and more. In this role, the PACU Nurse
will provide critical care to patients as they awaken from
anesthesia after surgery. The nurse will be essential in monitoring
patient vital signs, managing pain, and ensuring a smooth and safe
recovery process. Monitor patient vital signs and levels of
consciousness during the recovery phase post-anesthesia. Administer
medications for pain management or complications as prescribed.
Assess patients' readiness for transfer to units or discharge based
on stable vital signs and alertness. Document and communicate
patient status and any concerns to doctors and other nurses.
Educate patients and families on post-procedure care requirements
and follow-up needs. Proficiency in managing and administering
post-anesthesia care Strong observational skills to detect
complications Excellent communication skills for explaining
procedures and outcomes to patients and families Ability to work
collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Medical Insurance

Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Tennessee. Basic Life
Support (BLS) certification. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
(ACLS) certification preferred.
