This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment across our extensive network, focusing on delivering post-anesthesia care that adheres to our high standards of patient safety and satisfaction. As a PACU Nurse at HCA Healthcare, you will play a critical role in overseeing the recovery of patients following surgery, monitoring their vital signs, and ensuring the effectiveness of pain management strategies. This role requires a deep understanding of anesthesia recovery, excellent judgment, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients during their recovery process. Monitor patients post-operation to ensure safe awakening from anesthesia. Assess patients’ vital signs, pain levels, and medication needs. Administer medications as prescribed and monitor responses. Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and any complications. Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to discuss and manage patient care plans. Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to infection control protocols. Strong ability in patient assessment and critical thinking Proficiency in administering medications and pain management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work as part of a team in high-pressure situations Knowledge of post-anesthesia care procedures and protocols Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of employment. Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) certification preferred.
