Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Reports To: Customer Service Manager
To provide stock, interchange, shipping, freight charge and certain
price information and product information to customers over the
phone (and email), take and key phone orders from customers, and
key orders which customers send us by fax and email.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
Input electronic orders
Working on customer websites (shipping/confirmations)
Excellent written communication for email for customer/public
Processing phone and email orders.
Processing of International Orders
Strong reasoning ability.
Answer phone and email inquiries for public and customers.
Product Information from online catalog
Conflict resolution with public
Communicate order shipment information.
Verify and initiate authorization for returns.
Verify and initiate authorization for freight credits.
Filing of all necessary documentation.
Input of returns.
Processing of closed orders.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and six
months to one year related experience and/or training; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short
correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small
group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of
measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and
interpret bar graphs.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
AS/400 experience preferred
PC experience required (Word, Windows, Excel, Outlook)
Must have a flexible, people-oriented personality.
Must have a clear phone voice
Must have proven problem solving skills
Must be able to handle pressure and deadlines.
