ShiftMed Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements:

--- Must have an active and unencumbered RN license in the state in which applying
--- Demonstrates a caring and compassionate nature
--- Must possess supervisory skills
--- Candidate must have a positive outlook and problem-solving skills
--- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 80 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet
--- Must be able to assist with the transfer and positioning of patients

Responsibilities:
--- The RN performs ongoing assessment and observation to ensure the optimum level of health for patients
--- Administering and recording all medications accurately and according to policy and procedures
--- Transcribe and implement written, verbal, and electronic physician orders
--- The RN delegates responsibility to nurse aides and monitors the care delivered by the aides, ensuring that all care is being delivered to all the patients appropriately
--- The RN will oversee and supervise the clinical operations for all nursing and clinical care activities, including oversight of staff
--- Organizes patient care effectively
--- Performs assessment data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner, focusing on the age, physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status of the patient
--- Reviews and evaluates the data collected by healthcare professionals
--- Develops a plan of care that prescribes nursing actions to achieve patient goals
--- Identifies patient/family learning needs and implements appropriate processes from admission to discharge
--- Must demonstrate thorough and complete verbal and written communication and can collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
--- Show consistent abilities in flexibility regarding patient assignments, floating, and related staffing issues
--- Promotes a positive work environment by consistently demonstrating a positive attitude and teamwork
--- The RN must be able to fulfill all responsibilities and duties of the job description as posted
