clients across various industries. Position Overview: We are
seeking a Senior Cloud Network Consultant to design, implement, and
optimize complex cloud networking environments. This remote
position is open to highly skilled candidates located anywhere in
North America and involves hands-on configuration across the major
public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP). You will be a crucial player in
supporting client cloud migrations and operations, focusing on
complex routing, security, and hybrid connectivity solutions.
Responsibilities: Cloud Network Architecture: Design and deploy
scalable, secure virtual networks using native cloud services such
as AWS VPC/Transit Gateway, Azure vNet/vWAN, and Google Cloud
Network Connectivity Center (NCC). Hybrid Connectivity: Implement
dedicated connections and multi-cloud solutions, utilizing
expertise in Azure ExpressRoute, AWS DirectConnect, and Google
Dedicated/Partner Interconnect. Cloud Exchange Integration: Apply
knowledge of design interactions with providers like Megaport and
Equinix for global network reach and simplified cloud access.
Advanced Routing & Security: Configure and troubleshoot complex
routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) in hybrid and multi-cloud
environments. Virtual Firewall Management: Implement and manage
virtual firewalls, such as Palo Alto or Fortinet, ensuring secure
ingress/egress and internal traffic segmentation. Automation (IaC):
Automate network configuration and deployment following
Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices using tools like
Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, and ARM Templates. Monitoring
& Optimization: Monitor and optimize network performance and
resource usage using native tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure
Monitor, and GCP Cloud Logging/Trace/Monitoring. Collaboration &
Compliance: Collaborate with client teams to integrate
hybrid/multi-cloud solutions and ensure all networking components
adhere to security and compliance standards. Expert Guidance:
Provide expert guidance and consultation on cloud security,
peering, gateways, and load balancing. Qualifications: Experience:
5 years of progressive experience in networking, with a minimum of
3 years focused on complex cloud networking across multiple public
cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP). Networking Fundamentals: Deep
proficiency in networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnets, routing,
firewalls, and VPNs. Virtual Firewall Expertise: Proven hands-on
experience deploying and managing virtual firewalls (e.g., Palo
Alto, Fortinet) in a cloud environment. Automation Skills: Hands-on
expertise with automation/scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible,
Terraform) for network deployment and management. Soft Skills:
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills,
enabling effective collaboration with both technical teams and
client stakeholders. How will you stand out? Advanced Cloud
Networking Exposure: Experience with AWS Gateway Load Balancer
(GWLB), Azure Firewall Premium, and GCP Cloud NAT. Cloud DNS/IPAM:
Experience with AWS Route 53 Resolver Endpoints, Azure Private DNS,
GCP Cloud DNS, and cloud-native or third-party IPAM solutions
(e.g., AWS IPAM, Infoblox). Service Mesh & API Gateway: Familiarity
with service mesh technologies (Istio, Consul Connect, App Mesh)
and cloud API Gateway solutions (AWS/Azure/GCP). SD-WAN &
Virtualization: Experience with modern SD-WAN technologies (Cisco,
Fortinet, or Palo Alto) and virtualization networking (VMware NSX
or Nutanix Flow). Desired Certifications: Cloud Network
Certifications (Highly Desired): AWS Advanced Networking Specialty
Azure Network Engineer Associate Google Professional Cloud Network
Engineer Network Security Certifications (Highly Desired): Palo
Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Fortinet
