Working for our team, you can truly make a difference. We are currently looking for Machine Operators to join our team. Experience is not required but always a bonus. The Slitter is responsible for taking master label rolls from the Rewind Feeder and transforms rolls into specific customer order rolls ready for shipping. Why work at MCC: Compensation: $18.20/hour $1.00/hour Shift Premium for working nights $1000 sign-on bonus 2-2-3 rotating shift Day or Nights, 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am available Generous benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance and 401(k) Paid Holidays: New Years, Easter, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve Responsibilities: Sets up rewind machine to cut and rewind specific counts per customer order Runs orders, fills out core labels to identify order, and stacks orders on carts Keeps orders separated by size, city, UPC or plant numbers Checks rolls while running for misprinting; report error to pressman and supervisor Cuts out “bad” labels on rolls and splices rolls Directs errors to rework area Rotates through rework area to rework “bad” rolls Clean rewind machine or turret machine as needed Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned Operate turret machine Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned Qualifications: Ability to add and subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Ability to use simple Windows-based applications. The physical demands require standing, using hands to finger, feel and touch; reach with arms and hands; talk and hear. This position requires frequent walking. Occasionally employee is required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision requirements are close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
