For all these reasons and more, our employee-owners have a strong sense of accomplishment and choose to call EOSYS home.The System Support Specialist works with the IT team to implement and maintain innovative and reliable IT services to enable EOSYS's employees to maximize their efficiency and productivity. Primary responsibilities include setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of user laptops, workstations and network printers; managing data backup and IT Support Desk ticket assignment tasks according to documented IT procedures and practices; and managing software licensing per company standard procedures. A strong emphasis is placed on providing a high level of customer support and achieving customer satisfaction from end users. The System Support Specialist will also participate in the design, planning and implementation of new IT systems and solutions and work with the IT team on server installation and troubleshooting tasks.ResponsibilitiesSetup, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot user workstations and laptopsProcurement of workstations/laptops and related IT hardware and softwareProvide general support and troubleshooting for client hardware and software issuesProvide basic support and troubleshooting for: Office 365 Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Projects, etc.) O365 mail support (DLP, Defender, etc.) Intune devices Provide maintenance and troubleshooting support for printers, scanners, copiers, etc.Work with software and hardware vendors to open and resolve support casesProvide excellent quality of support for end users, communicating status of issues clearly and resolving problems in a timely fashionMaintain and follow documented IT procedures and processes, including: Documentation of support cases Backup and recovery of IT systems Archival of business data Inventory tracking for hardware and software assets User account setup, privileges, and group memberships Research and diagnose problems that cannot be immediately resolvedResearch and evaluate developing IT trends, tools, and capabilities in order to make informed recommendations on client hardware and software Requirements:Associate's degree or three years of experience supporting Windows users or a combination of education and experienceCompTIA A+ or other relevant certifications preferred SkillsRequires strong understanding and ability to troubleshoot general networking technologies, including Ethernet switches and routers, wireless networks, DHCP, DNS, etc.Requires strong understanding and ability to troubleshoot in the Windows client environment, including the Windows OS, system registry, spam/malware/virus prevention and recovery, Microsoft Office, account permissions, network printing, and mobile email access.Requires strong understanding and ability to setup, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide variety of network printers, copiers, plotters, and fax machines. Requires a working knowledge of the Microsoft server/network environment, including Active Directory accounts and groups, Exchange mailboxes, SQL Server, file shares, firewalls, VPN, etc.Requires a working knowledge of the Microsoft O365 including but not limited to Defender, Endpoint Management, SharePoint, Teams & Azure.Successful resolution of support cases will require good personal and communication skills, as well as strong problem-solving capabilities and the self-motivated ability to research technology problems and find solutions.Physical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
