POSITIONSUMMARY: Through continuous cycle counts,investigating
inventory discrepancies, monitoring of aged in transit reports,and
order verification; researches all data available to assist
management inmaintaining accurate inventories. Whendiscrepancies
are found, analyze for root cause origin and presentsdiscrepancies
and solutions to warehouse management verbally and in writing.
Assistsin coordinating/disposal of raw material and component
FUNCTIONSOF THE JOB:

2. Attendance: Present for work when scheduled is amandatory
3. Safety: Your compliance with and enforcement of all company
safety rules, procedures and guidelines is essential. Reporting of
safety issues ismandatory.
4. Research and document all inventory related discrepancy issues
including damaged inventory to provide an audit trail of problem
areas and trends, reports problems/discrepancies to management.
Monitors the DSTR list and coordinates the disposal for each waste
- Communicate effectively with other departments as appropriate,
providing information on inventory as requested.
- As directed, conducts verifications of inventory received or
packed for shipment todetermine accuracy, validate procedures, and
validate or recommend propertraining of warehouse personnel.
- Monitor and reconcile aged in transit reports.
- All inventory discrepancies and 900 storage type account
- Processing customer returns.
- Follow established procedures to ensure all Finished
Goods/Components are cycle counted and reconciled at designated
intervals as outlined in the current SOP.
- Document and report all inventory errors throughout the course
of work performed.
- Document disposal of waste streams as required.
- Investigate and report to upper management and make authorized
corrections of inventory discrepancies.
- Safely operate a forklift, stock picker and standup.
PhysicalActivities: walking (35%), standing (50%), sitting(15%),
lift up to 50 lbs., ability to stoop, reach, kneel. Able to use a
Mentaldemands: Work under stress and manage deadlines. Must be able
to multitask. Able to work individually with littlesupervision.
Ability to withstandheights. Ability to hear horns, bells and
alarms at normal decibellevels. Above average math skills,
abilityto stay focused on task for extended periods of time.
Ability to identify colors, letters, andnumbers of various font
types and sizes.
VisualAcuity: Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Ability to
adjust eye to bring objects in tosharper focus. Able to see and
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Worker exposed to normal
office and warehouseconditions, including noise and temperature
variations. Warehouse conditions include temperaturesranging from
the 30's (typically 40 degrees in cold weather conditions,
withappropriate clothing provided) to the 90's (in hot weather
conditions). Estimate time exposure to warehouse conditionis
Knowledge: Twoyears college in a related material handling
discipline is desirable; however,experience in the field of
material handling and demonstrated ability may beused to waive the
academic background. Essential to be able to calculate gains/losses
and convert units ofmeasure. Must have familiarity withcomputers
and ability to train for usage of the MRP.
Experience: Oneto two years experience in inventory control is
preferred. Sound analytical ability to compute inventorylevel, and
perform cycle counts. Excellent interpersonal skills to interface
across the entire company.
Machines,Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: Forklift, PC, Microsoft
Officeand spreadsheet programs, telephone, and other standard
office equipment. Ability to learn the use of SAP as it relatesto
the inventory job function.
