This position provides strategic planning, administrative, budget, mentoring, leadership and technical assistance as needed for the growth and development of the Home Services organization. Manages the work of field personnel and supports his/her team with the identification and implementation of comprehensive, customer-based innovative solutions.Essential Duties and responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Supervise and directs a group of technicians in the performance of their job both technically and administratively. This will be accomplished through direct supervision and intentional leadership
  • Mentoring and training of technicians; provides coaching and develops/tracks performance improvement plans as necessary
  • Makes hiring and termination decisions with manager; conducts interviews
  • Performance audits of technicians in the field; safety, customer service, technical, quality
  • Performance review of personnel; identifies needed trade training
  • Maintains tools, parts equipment and supplies in clean and safe condition
  • Complies with all policies and procedures (e.g. customer service, safety, usage and handling of hazardous or restricted material)
  • Interacts with clients and customers; makes decisions on scope of work and briefs senior service manager
  • Maintains records for work completed in a neat and organized manner
  • Maybe required to work overtime to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to handle stress and job demands
  • Must be able to cooperatively work with others
  • Provide consistent remarkable customer service. Respond to daily residential
  • Service Technicians needs. Ability to assist/coach Technicians to repair and/or service all major brands of equipment. Ability to adapt to on-demand modifications.
  • Must uphold all safety standards
    Education and Experience:
    • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent and (5) five years related, qualified experience and/or training is required.
    • Journeyman level trade experience preferred
    • Prior leadership/management experience preferred
    • EPA Certification (if working in HVAC)
      Skills and Abilities:
      • Good educator/mentor
      • Effective leadership skills with servant-leadership approach
      • Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong solutions-based focus
      • Ability to quickly assess situations and make sound decisions to address problems
        Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

        Individuals may need to ride or drive in a vehicle for 2 or more hours at a time depending on position.

        Individuals working at an outside job site may be exposed to varying temperatures including very hot (above 90 degrees F) or very cold (below 32 degrees F) and all weather conditions.

        Individuals may be exposed to: cramped work spaces, contaminants, extremely bright or inadequate lighting conditions, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting or uncomfortable.

        Performing this job requires frequent use of hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools or controls. Must be able to sit, talk, hear, and stand frequently throughout the day. Must be able to climb, reach above shoulder height, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl frequently. The position occasionally may require lifting heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and performing strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

        Individuals may occasionally be exposed to hazardous conditions, high places and /or hazardous equipment.
