Job Description:

Safety-Kleen in Decatur, AL is seeking Clean Harbors is seeking an Equipment Operator at an on-site customer facility to operate heavy equipment in order to mobilize railcars throughout the site. Training will be provided by facility to operator railcar mover.

This position is 12hr swing shifts- 3 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off. 3/3/2/2

  Responsibilities
  
  
  • Ensure Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and always acting in a safe manner
  • Completes daily checklist as required for proper operation of the unit being operated
  • Operate rail mover from different positions throughout plant site per request/need
  • Assures unit is never operated in an unsafe manner or in a manner which is inconsistent with Standard Operating Procedures
  • Completes and submits all associated paperwork as required for waste tracking movements
  • Follow all local, state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rules.
  • Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state (provincial) and federal requirements
  • Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures
  • Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • By position, ability to be on call for rotating weekend work for railcar moves as needed

    • Basic computer skills
    • Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
    • Perform physical functions per job requirements
    • Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical, by position
      
      Preferred Qualifications:
      
      
      • Previous experience in Hazmat
        
        
        • Forklift experience
        • Previous relevant experience
        • Experience with waste labels, manifests, and load sheets
