Our company is not made up of just people, but individuals who together make up a team - the Vi-Jon teamPOSITION SUMMARY: The responsibilities of the Warehouse Lead include performing specific Material Specialist duties as needed. Provides guidance, coaching and support to the hourly employees. Assures the employees are provided with the adequate training to perform their job. Must have strong communication skills and willingness to work with team members. Possess good written and verbal skills. Must be able to work under pressure with minimal supervision. Must be able to manage multiple tasks with changing priorities.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
1.Behavior: A team player attitude of cooperation and coordination, professional interaction with all business contacts all day, every day.2.Attendance: Exceptional attendance is a mandatory requirement.3.Safety: Comply with all requirements of the safety program, including adherence to all Safety Rules and your reporting of safety issues is mandatory4.Observe and follow good manufacturing practices (cGMP's) and SOP's.5.Perform specific Material Specialist duties as needed.6.Perform SAP transactions7.Communicate any issues or concerns to appropriate management staff.8.Meet personal standards of performance as outlined by the Dept. Supervisor.9.Work within the cell to maintain vision and direction as set forth by management.10.Take initiative and responsibility for the departmental functions.11.Conduct meetings with employees regarding safety issues and address safety issues and correct potential safety hazards.12.Monitor the ability of temporaries to determine if they will or will not be able to function as a full time employee.13.Train new employees.14.Other duties as assigned.
Physical Activities: Sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, grasping, lifting, talking, hearing.
Physical Demands: Able to handle stress. Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
Visual Acuity: Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less with the ability to judge distance and space relationships and bring objects into sharp focus.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions: Worker exposed to temperatures significantly high or low to cause marked bodily discomfort. Worker exposed to physical conditions such as moving mechanical parts, working on scaffolding, and high places. Warehouse conditions include temperatures ranging from the 30's (typically 40 F degrees in cold weather conditions, with appropriate clothing provided) to the 90's F (in hot weather conditions). Estimate time exposure to warehouse condition is 30%.
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Knowledge: High School diploma or GED required. Requires the ability to read and understand instructions, write, add and subtract. Knowledge of appropriate forklift regulations and safety rules is mandatory.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years proven leadership experience in the manufacturing support operations of a warehouse environment, as well as receiving operations and paperwork, preferred.
Machines, Tools, Equipment and Work Aids: Must be forklift certified. Computer and related programs (SAP is required, MS Office environment, Word, Excel, Outlook are preferred), fax, copier, and other standard office equipment.
